Code Violations and Criminal Activities

Neighborhood Watch is the most active and visible committee of NATA. It acts as a liaison between the residents and both the Suffolk County Police Department and the Town of Babylon to address both criminal and municipal issues. The philosophy is that responsible citizens actively working with government can achieve a healthy, safe, attractive and informed community.

We encourage the community to report to the Town of Babylon at its Citizen Services number 631-957-7474 all incidents that detract from the community. While you may not know what a code violation is, you do know junk when you see it such as abandoned refrigerators, junk cars parked on the grass, overflowing garbage cans, or stray dogs running the streets - these are just as bad as junkies and hookers hanging out on the corner. It all signals that this is a place where people don't really care what goes on. So, call the town and file your complaint. Make sure you write down the day, time and person who you spoke to; or, you may fill out the complaint form below, and Neighborhood Watch will follow up on your complaint.  After all, its what we do as the "eyes and ears" that OBSERVE AND REPORT conditions that negatively impact the hamlet of North Amityville.
